Mowing: Fescue vs. Bluegrass
1. Pinch back mums & annuals 2. Fescue: Mow at 3.5 to 4 inches. Fine blade fescue: 3 to 3.5 inches in height. Bluegrass: 3 to 3.5 inches. 3. Continue turf watering schedule, increase controller to 100 % & add second day to drip irrigation. Inspect Irrigation system and call if any damage is found. Damaged sprinkler heads and leaky valves cause the greatest amount of water waste at your expense.

Inspect for Grubs, Check your Drip Irrigation!
1. Avoid applying nitrogen to lawn try potash instead, a 0-0-62 is recommended. 2. Inspect for grub damage. 3. Increase drip irrigation to three times per week if rainfall is low. 4. Continue to water 100% three times a week applying 1 to 1.5 inches for fescues and 1.5 to 2 inches for bluegrass. 5. Mowing heights for both fescue and bluegrass remain the same.

Information for: Insects, Gardens & Bulbs!
1. Apply insect control to roses, flowers & garden. 2. Divide Iris, Peonies and fall bulbs. 3. Continue to water on your current watering schedule watering days three times a week for turf and two to three times per week for drip systems depending on the rainfall. 4. Leave mowing heights the same for both fescue and bluegrass. Mowing only once a week if heat is extreme.
