Tips From Hunt Irrigation, Inc., to Help Keep Your Sprinklers Safe Until Next Spring
Without proper preparation your sprinkler system and backflow device may be damaged by freezing temperatures. Here are some tips from Hunt Irrigation, The Water Smart Company on how to prepare your irrigation system for winter conditions if you live in a region such as the Midwest where it freezes. Hunt Irrigation recommends that you winterize your system each fall with pressurized air and a compressor that will produce at least 125 CFM (cubic feet per minute).
