Hunt Irrigation has been in the backflow testing and repairing trade since 2000 and
collectively our staff has over 13 years of testing experience. Our technicians are
all active members of the ABPA (American Backflow Prevention Association) and are
certified by the State of Nebraska.
Why entrust your Backflow prevention program with Hunt Irrigation?
Once you have contacted our office, one of our trained professionals will access your backflow needs. Our staff will then begin the testing process and determine the health of your backflow device/s. After testing, your technician will return those tests reports to our office where we will store a copy of the results as well as forward all documentation on to the City of Lincoln. Our office will also send a copy of the results back to your staff for you permanent records.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact the our Office Manager, Jennifer, to discuss how Hunt Irrigation's Backflow Prevention Program will help your business stay on the safe side of drinking water.

Hunt Irrigation-making sure your first drink is as SAFE as your last.
Mechanical backflow preventors have internal seals, springs, and moving parts that are
subject to fouling, wear, or fatigue. Also, mechanical backflow preventors and air gaps
can be bypassed. Therefore, all backflow preventors have to be tested periodically to
ensure that they are functioning properly. A visual check of air gaps is sufficient,
but mechanical backflow preventors have to be tested by a State Certified Grade 6
Operator, with properly calibrated gauge equipment.
Why do Backflow preventors need to be tested annually?
